Carrier Chiller with Fouled Condenser Coils – Heavy Cottonwood Seed Loading

Best Approach to provide equipment protection against airborne debris is to install equipment protection pre-filters
( commonly refereed to as cottonwood filter screens, ahu inlet filters, air intake screens, rtu air intake filters , etc).
To provide hail guard equipment protection the recommended approach would be to install the Hail Master hail guard system which consists of a
semi rigid polymer mesh that mounts over the front of the coil and is attached to the surrounding flange.  NOTE:  to provide both protection from
hail and airborne debris, the hail master can be installed in cooperation with RTU air intake filters.  The recommended air intake filters on this application is the
HD Commercial Grade filter with quick release twist lock fasteners.
